Rest A Shore’s home watch services offer a complete interior and exterior survey to make sure your home and property are free of damage and signs of vacancy.
While we will customize our services to meet your individual needs, the services that are standard with our interior and exterior plans are as follows:
Standard Exterior Plan.
Check for visible signs of forced entry around doors and windows.
Check that home services are working satisfactorily.
Check for obvious storm damage.
Removal of junk mail and flyers from mailbox, driveway or front door.
Inspect yard and planting beds for trash and weeds.
Check that lawn is properly maintained.
Check for obvious damage to sprinkler system.
Perform visual inspecting of siding, roof and gutters.
Check for draining problems, outside faucets, and hose bibs.
Check for vandalism.
Inspect for obvious insect or pest infestation.
Check exterior lighting.
Check pool, spas, outdoor showers.
Snow removal available upon request.
Standard Interior Plan
Check for rain damage around doors, windows, and ceilings.
Check for plumbing leaks in bathroom(s) and kitchen.
Check for signs of mold and mildew.
Check for visible signs of rodent or insect infestation.
Check of obvious damage to interior of house.
Activate at least two light timers and reset during power interruptions.
Confirm security system is functioning.
Check fire, smoke, and CO2 alarms and replace batteries if needed.
Check temperature/humidity settings on thermostats.
Run water in sinks and baths, flush stagnant water in toilets, and check all drains.
Check appliances to ensure operating efficiently.
Reset electric appliances/breakers following power outages/surges.
Replace burned out light bulbs.
Check doors, windows, lights, fans, air filters, breaker box, water heater and water systems.

We offer customized plans beyond our basic services to make sure any, and all, of your concerns are covered while you’re away. We also offer a variety of handyman, concierge, and storm services to give you an added layer of protection, comfort and peace.
